The first full-VGA, large screen, video navigator with C-MAP NT, featuring technology from C-MAP. Data Display Window may be located on the side or top of the screen display. Waypoints are available in alpanumeric route naming and highly visible icons. With high resolution design, personal assignments are easy to see.
The ChartLINK also features user selectable spot depth soundings, EBL, VRM and Lat/Long conversion to Loran C TDs. Its LCD display is visible in any light condition (even with polarized sun glasses), and the screen redraw is fast. For operational ease and more accurate control, the ChartLINK functions with a trackball instead of a trackpad.
Teaming up with NMEA cartography award winner, C-MAP, enables Datamarine to design navigational instruments with the most advanced technology. C-MAP's latest breakthrough, C-MAP NT technology, offers smooth chart rotation, quick information for all NavAid objects in a "Quick Info" window, depth areas to be selectively shaded, spot soundings to indicate depth locations and more. Datamarine has also made significant improvements in the field with ChartLINK's enlarged keys, an extra slot for seamless navigation in two charting areas without changing catridges, and a memory card adapter for unlimited storage of personal data.
A new, optional GPS Smart Antenna using
12-channel technology is also available from Datamarine. The
Smart Antenna provides more accurate and reliable GPS positioning
than units with fewer channels. With the Datamarine Smart Antenna
option installed, the ChartLINK furnishes a proprietary screen
with GPS satellite information.
For the ultimate convenience, integrate
the LINK Offshore system with a ChartLINK. When interfaced to the
LINK network, or other NMEA 0183 compatible instruments, the
ChartLINK can display depth, boat speed, wind speed, direction,
and more. A full screen data display can be selected for easy
viewing of crucial data at a central location on your vessel.
INSTALLED CHART CARD BOUNDARIES
All C-cards display chart boundary lines of available nautical
charts, an important feature when comparing to approved paper
nautical charts. This is also vital information when initializing
the ChartLINK for navigation purposes.
GPS DATA
ChartLINK provides information on the strength and status of
satellites used for navigation. This screen of information is
only available in conjunction with Datamarines's optional D7012SA
GPS Smart Antenna. This 12- channel GPS uses the very latest
technology for tracking satellites.
SPOT DEPTH SOUNDINGS
With new C-cards, spot depth soundings are available on
vectorized electronic charts. Until now, spot soundings were
limited to video produced raster charts, making it impossible to
remove unwanted information from the display.
WAYPOINT AND ROUTING
Multiple routes, 400 waypoints and memory cartridge capability
makes for unlimited storage of your memorized data. Waypoints and
route icons are of high resolution design. The action menu is
pictured on the right side of the screen.
PORT PLAN
Detailed port plans, close up data on navigation aids, and pop up
information screens make the ChartLINK completely user friendly.
